Recordkeeping: Final Fantasy Tactics INCOMPLETE

A while back it became obvious to me that when I had tried to play this game before, I was doing it WILDLY incorrectly. Armed with better knowledge and great confidence and a love of the sequels and setting, I loaded this up for what I was positive would be my final, victorious try at it.

I did worse than ever.

I'm sorry, I just don't get this. I'll stick to the sequels.

It kinda makes me think of the Elder Scrolls "use a thing to make that thing better" skill level design, except when you mix in the whole job class system into that, it's... weird.

It's like a class tier progression system for an online game.
