Retail therapy
Jan. 4th, 2010 04:46 pmAs cranky as I am...
Hell with it. The woof and I have gift-cards from parents for Barnes and Noble. I'm gonna go out and get the most CLICHE SHIT I can find, with dragons and stuff and maybe some stories where humanity shoots a bunch of evil aliens with laser guns AND THERE IS NO MORAL AMBIGUITY WHATSOEVER and I am going to ENJOY IT.
*stomp out*
...report when I get back. (What I buy will probably have nothing to do with this, actually. But I bet if I check the Warhammer 40K rack...)

Before you mention it, yeah, we spent a -lot-. But we had gift cards! And credit! And we'll, uh... pay for that one later. Oh boy. Also, I didn't so much get lots of traditional bland fantasy as lots of URBAN FANTASY because woo.
BUT BOOKS YES BOOKS HELL YEAH.
Here is the complete list. Any comments are welcome. Except for "HOLY DAMN THAT'S A LOT OF STUFF", 'cause we know.
Also, stay tuned until the end for a special question for Warhammer fans!
( The Complete List. I will maybe do Amazon links later. Maybe. )
To you Warhammer-y types: We've exhausted the CIAPHAS CAIN!!!!1 books. What next? Are there any Orky Tales out there? Tau? Anything besides Space Marines and Chaos, stretching into a long distant sunset? What's -good- and Mariney?
