As cranky as I am...
Hell with it. The woof and I have gift-cards from parents for Barnes and Noble. I'm gonna go out and get the most CLICHE SHIT I can find, with dragons and stuff and maybe some stories where humanity shoots a bunch of evil aliens with laser guns AND THERE IS NO MORAL AMBIGUITY WHATSOEVER and I am going to ENJOY IT.
*stomp out*
...report when I get back. (What I buy will probably have nothing to do with this, actually. But I bet if I check the Warhammer 40K rack...)

This is like when I saw that Issac Asimov anthology next to the novelization of Metal Gear in the book store. ^.^;;
I'm not sure what I could reccomend that has no moral ambiguity though. I mean, in general, every race in Warhammer 40K is evil, especially that one. That's not ambiguous. But, there's plenty of people in those races that are alright, and that might upset you.
My best reccomendation for a complete absense of moral ambiguity would probably be G.I. Joe. Or maybe Captain Planet vs. Hitler.

Date: 2010-01-05 03:45 am (UTC)I was also kind of boggled recently when, after spending a while trying to find Abnett's Titanicus, I found it on one of the Big Deal novel stands out in the middle of aisle. Like--Anne Rice, Anne McCaffrey, Steph Meyer...and WH40K. I was not aware that the world thirsted so for the fruits of Dan's pen~ ^_^
