xyzzysqrl: A moogle sqrlhead! (Mouse Guard #1)

Well! Hey, I'm kinda back on Livejournal. I'm off my medication (we're out, nothing serious) and all wired up, so guess what time it is?

That's right! It's time to rotate your tires! But more than that, ladies and gentlemen, undecided and other, it's time for another update from the Land of Sqrl. How are things here in Gordonia? We're finally starting to get unpacked, because we are goddamn well glacial lately. However thanks to our unpackingness, we're starting to regain access to the modern everyday joys of living. Little things that we hadn't realized we missed are becoming regainable, like Happy Noodle Bowls, games of Munchkin, non-cable anime, whipped-cream'n'strawberry-jam sandwiches (a sensation I can only describe as 'squishy mouth luvluv'), and so on and so on. We're also finally doing things like stocking the fridge and cleaning the carpets, so apartment life takes shape around us.

Lately I've not felt like writing reviews, such as the Netflix Notes or the like, because I'm still depressed. I was so depressed I actually joined up with World of Warcraft. I think this qualifies me for a suicide watch in some countries, but it's been an important step in getting me to actually play video games again as opposed to moping about and wringing my hands in a Dr. Smith-esqe fashion. Now I can resume eating food and getting fat and playing video games, as is my right. The Eighties promised me a virtual reality, goddamn it. I'm going to virtualize mine as much as possible by consuming preproccessed cheese food product until, like in that one movie about Tom Hanks as a D&D character, I begin to believe that I am in fact a video game character. That video game character will be Squall Leonhart, and so I will wander off and go to bed and pout.

What the hell was I talking about again?

I don't remember, so! I'm going to start wrapping this up, but I want to give a quick little blurt of some thoughts I've had recently:

- I made the boyfriend watch House of the Dead on Sci-Fi yesterday. I've never seen him nearly get sick during a movie before. Goddamn, that film was bad. (I nearly got sick too, but mostly because of the spin-pans every fifteen seconds.)

- After years of not having carpet, it's nice to have carpet again.

- ?redo from start?

- I need to buy a Consortium of Genius album or two, after listening to samples on their web page.

- Saw the Over The Hedge movie a while back. This film justifies the existence of CGI movies in general. Also, Hammy is a Hug Missile. Best animated squirrel EVER.

- SQRL Radio needs to live again, someday. Maybe I'll wire up the spare box to stream songs nonstop.

- Speaking of music. Ages ago I heard a song: "Lemon tree! Very pretty! And the lemon flower is sweet! But the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat!" Where the crap did I hear this? And why has it been stuck in my head for like eight years? And where can I get an MP3?

- I am now unable to think of "meat" or "cheese" without suffixing "food product" to the words. Damn it.

- Comma comma comma comma comma chame...ahem. I like commas too damn much.

~Tailwrap~ Good to see you around, hon. And good to hear you're sounding a bit more like yourself.

Meat-food product substitute approved for use on humans?

Harry Belafonte, "Lemon Tree." Give me a few and I can probably scare up an MP3.

And you want to know the fun part?

Uwe Boll, the same guy who did "House of the Dead", owns the rights to "FarCry".

I have little to say ...

There are two things I must say, they must be said in the order I will say them, they will amount to two, they will not amount to three because I don't have a third thing to say and they will not amount to a single statement because then I would leave one thing unsaid. So the number of the things I shall say is two and neither shall involve holy handgrenades.

1.) I'm glad you're feeling better and that all is going well there for you.

2.) Sqrl Radio must live. I loved it dearly and I now miss it.

That is all.

Actually, there is a third thing to be said. I am so rusty at the whole Journal of the Living thing that I frequently forget to login before posting. NURRRR.

Check out my latest Furjournal entry, I posted my email address there. If you're a clever sort, you might figure out how to even manage to contact me via IM through it but if you do, you tell no one!

*Shifty.*

No one!

And that goes for all the invisible ghosts out there reading this, too.

You heard me.

No one!

Glad you're feeling better, sqrl, and happy to hear the apartment is getting unpacked. Fear not, glacial is a s glacial does. There are things that were packed up for our move to our current apartment that are still unpacked... and it's been ten years and a handful of months since the move! Things get unpacked as needed, or so I find.

What's wrong with processed cheese food products? yumyum!!
What kind of bread do you use for strawberry-whipped cream sammiches? Sound tasty!!
