An excellent example of how setting and atmosphere can elevate a game. A card dealer in a robe and mask, with long gnarled fingers. A smoking candle. A stacked deck of cards. The dealer lays out a spread, this card is suddenly a sword, this card is a canyon, this card a pair of bandits trying to kill you. They all spring into reality and...

...then you mash buttons. Arkham Asylum style combat, good luck ever actually managing to get a moment when you AREN'T doing some kind of counterattack. (Enemies are intensely psychic and will sprint across the room at top speed to keep you from doing a finisher.)

It's very very good at first, but the longer you play and the more cards you unlock, the more the... er, deck gradually stacks against you. The last boss is an all-expense-paid trip to Planet Augh Fuck What Is This Augh You Want Me To WHAT, also known as a four-tier boss rush. I don't actually know HOW I beat it. I had like 2 HP left.

Uhm... so yeah I can't exactly advise anyone play this, but I hope people study it and learn from it. It has Atmosphere and is really neat that way.

Sounds like it starts fun, at least. I think I was looking at this one as a possibility.

True, true, but I trust that you're going to tell us all about the good and bad boys for you, and we can decide from there
Big ending angry boss rush? Maybe it goes down the priority list.
