ACNL Update - Departure
Jun. 10th, 2015 11:03 amLife in Adoravil slowly meanders along, peaceful and same-y.
The Bears of Adoravil are no longer Klaus, Teddy, and Curt. Now Le Ursines des Adoravil is a trio of Tammy (a proud yellow bear lady who wants to teach me how to fight people and win), Kody (a blue bear who lives in what he proclaims to be "The House of a Million Sit-Ups"), and ... er, Curt. I'm still unsure if Ozzie is a bear. Do koalas count?
The town doesn't change much, although we're now considered "perfect". I've built enough improvements that no one who lives there believes the town could possibly get any better. That's where I would have stopped playing the game, I suspect, if I hadn't stopped playing the game before. Now? I want to keep going, just a little day by day, and see what else happens.
What did happen, however, is that one of the more popular residents decided it was his time to leave for the wider world out there.

That's right. It's time for Sparro, everyone's favorite Keanu Reeves clone in a bird suit, to depart. I wasn't really sad about this. We've had some fun times and I taught him how to yell about explosions, but I was prepared for him to move on.
Until the day after he moved out. I opened my mailbox and found this.

It's a framed photo of Sparro. Villagers in the Animal Crossing series will only give you their photo if you're at Very Best Friend status and you're incredibly lucky. (Well, there's another way in New Leaf, but it requires April Fool's Day.)
On the back is his birthday (November 20th, I never knew), star sign, and a quote: "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." It's true. Until he was gone, I didn't realize quite how much flavor he added to the town. ...er, in a metaphorical sense.
... Goodbye, you goofy-ass whoa-bird. Damn you for making me feel a thing. I'll miss you.

Date: 2015-06-10 07:15 pm (UTC)I never did manage to replicate my original look, though: bunny hood, corset, and gas mask. ^_^
Has there been anything from the rumor mill on a new AC work?
