Dreams? for the holidays.
Dec. 24th, 2014 08:49 amLast night's dream was that Half-Life 3 was out, and it was ridiculously, magically terrible.
Like they gave Gordon a werewolf mode and when you activated it it played a cutscene where the camera whipped around him 1080 while he posed and yelled "SOMETIMES A FREEMAN -CAN BE AN ANIMAL-" and then you got combo points for chain-decapitating Combine.
And Gordon was voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.
There was a free-roaming section where you control Dog and the controls were pretty much entirely ripped from Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, including the ability to pull cars in half and wear them as power fists.
Right at the start Eli stands up and goes "MAN I have a headache!" and there's big cheesy sitcom laughter.
And all the commentary nodes were just really defensive "THIS IS WHAT THE FOCUS GROUP SAID THEY WANTED OKAY??"
...anyway, uh... Merry Christmas everybody.

I wonder if David Lynch has ever considered trying his hand at game design.. that reminds me of his "Rabbits" series of shorts, which I need to unearth sometime and enjoy again.
