Light and Sound and Stuff

Ladies and Gentlethingies of the Livejournal Planet, I come to you bearing this review of Myst V: End of Ages. I also come bearing sickness, as both myself and the darling wolfieheaded creature are woozy and headachy and harfing on things. This is not conductive to normal activity, so I am sulking over the cold.
Did I mention this entire state is a giant meat locker? Someday I'll be out on the street, possibly for a good reason, and travelers from another dimension will gate in to start culling the frozen foods. This will be horrific and terrible and I only hope that someone has a video camera running at the time.
Quite aside from The Creeping Icy Doom That Ate My Toes and The Slinking Virus That Infected My Nose, things have been kind of dull. Not like that's a great big shocker of late. Did get a chance to watch a couple of movies, and I'll be posting my thoughts on those presently.
Is it bad, incidentally, that the smell of these Essential Marvel collections... very newsprinty and minty in a way... is almost intoxicating to me? I mean, so are the contents, of course. Great big bricklike wads of really fun comics. Essential Spectacular Spider-Man in particular is some kind of work of amusing genius, even if it does contain bits of really doofy story arcs. I like how Spider-Man is basically the link that ties the Marvel Universe together. Everyone gets bounced off him, even folks like White Tiger and Moon Knight who are somewhere down in the C-Rank or D-Rank section of Marveldom. It's great. I'm hoping to get ahold of one of the Werewolf By Night collections to see what his reaction to -that- was.
... You know, we -had- a digital camera. I wish I knew where it went. I have this urge to just shove it at things and click violently. Strange, that.
I'm rambling some, thus I am off.
...oh, hey, they gave my old icons back! Niftorama.

Date: 2005-12-16 04:15 pm (UTC)Nothing at all wrong with loving the scent of fresh-minted comics. Mmmm. Just the words remind me of the scent and I go all mmmmmmm-yummy! Give those comics some big sniffs before even reading them, thats what I do :)
Cameras hide. Anything that is wanted, knows it, and promptly hides. Its a little-known(?) fact about technology; it's smart enough to hide and giggle at us while we search :) Like toddlers. Annoying beasties, toddlers can be.
I know, I sound like Yoda. Sometimes talk that way, I do. Get well soon, you two :)
Please? :)
(That's one odd icon. Appropriate :) Congrats on getting 'em back :) )
