...Hey, I'm on the Internet.
Aug. 17th, 2005 03:49 pmOn... uh. Friday, I think... the wolf and I went out to play MiniGolf and have some really good ice cream at this Kimball Farm place near where we live. The ice cream came in giant-sized scoops, and the minigolf was fairly fun. I got to show off a little of my reverse-blade golfclub zanshin or something like that. Anyway, we played through the first several holes in the rain, but because of the massive storm the rain eventually grew into we didn't get to actually play to the part where I'd have had a stunning come-from-behind win. Also, my boyfriend can make his pants explode through sheer masculinity. I know this because he did it, leaving a gaping hole in his jeans. It was cool. (His version of events is more interesting to read.)
Then we went home and lightning had fried our cable modem. Uh. Oops.
So we spent the weekend offline, away from -anything- computer related. Playing actual physical games like Heroclix and whatnot, and laying on the couch cuddling and the like.
It was kind of nice.
Now we're back online again, now that Dave O. Comcastguy has gone "Whoa, we retired those months ago. Why was yours working at all?" at our old cable modem and given us a new one. Whee-hoo.
Except now we've found that the credit card company are idiots. Alternately they've been telling us:
10. We have $3000 of fradulent charges we are not responsible for and they will give us a new card.
20. They cannot activate our new card because we have $3000 in charges on an old one.
30. We should give them a lot of money and not think about why.
40. Oh, crap! Wait, you already have a new card and those charges weren't you? Oh. Okay.
50. They'll activate our new card right away. Maybe.
60. GOTO 10
So... basically I didn't see anything that happened online or do anything with anything anywhere until just now when I got back. Hi.

Date: 2005-08-17 08:36 pm (UTC)*applauds the wolf!* That is indeed a force to reckon with. Though I attest to being very rugged and wolfishly hirsuite in body and mind, my ability to blow out pants through sheer testosterone concentration is regrettably hit-or-miss. I must learn the secrets of the Thousand Golden Phallus Pants-Become-Two technique of which you so reverently speak.

Date: 2005-08-17 09:33 pm (UTC)Pre-ordered "I Love Katamari" yet? I ordered the soundtrack to the first game, which is more expensive than the game itself. (chuckle)
Re: Welcome Back!
Date: 2005-08-17 09:34 pm (UTC)Hee. I don't do preordering unless I get something Very Special out of it. It's not really my thing.
no preordering, hm?
Date: 2005-08-17 09:37 pm (UTC)one word : Netflix.

Re: no preordering, hm?
Date: 2005-08-18 12:20 am (UTC)Also, in my experience if I actually put even the tiniest scrap of money down on a title in advance, that title will never be released. Never ever. Case in point, whatever the Jesus they're calling the Phantasy Star Collection these days.
Re: no preordering, hm?
Date: 2005-08-18 03:13 pm (UTC)But, Phantasy Star Universe...much happier prognosis.
