Persistance of Vision

I have a little floaty thing in my eye, I think. Maybe both of them. No matter what I do I have a shimmering shape shaped like a U, or sometimes a C, over my vision. Closing one eye doesn't get rid of it, brushing the sleep out of my eyes doesn't help. I think this is divine punishment for playing Pokemon Pinball for hours yesterday.

(EDIT: It was there for an hour or so. Then I posted about it, and inside of 20 minutes it was gone. Sigh.)

Always in the same place, or does it relocate over time?

Not the same as 'I try to look at it and it drifts away' - that's an illusion of off-center artifacts.

On the other hand, perhaps the aliens are letting you know you're under their surveillance. I mean.. think about it.. eye-C-U. I see you. It's evidently a message.

Or a warning. Stay away from the intensive care unit. Could be. Aliens are so solicitous of our welfare.. that's it, they're watching you for your own protection.

I was speculating it might be a message, and I'd just missed the F. Oh well.

Anyway. After waking up a bit more, it's gone now, but I still had an odd floaty patch (always the same place, yes) in my eye for around an hour. Weird. *boggle*

Actually, talking about floaty things in your vision, I have a little grey... Well.. I guess you'd call it a squiggle... In my right eye. It's always there, moving with my eye. I only really notice it these days if I think about it, I've had it so long. It's actually a scar from surgery on my eye when I was a kid. So there you go. I gotta permament eyeball floater. ;>

I've got a bunch of little things that look like giant parameciums. Paramecia? Anyway, they hover around off center and I can chase them around... I used to do that for hours on the bus to school. When I was in school. I'm rarely that bored nowadays.
