It's that time again. Join me below the cut for the usual goofery.
So as it turns out, I did not think my clever plan all the way through. Follow my logic train. Follow it close.
A: I get up really late at night.
B: So I should have the town of Adoravil get up really late at night too.
C: Because I do all my playing and posting -- early in the morning.
D: When things are still closed.
E: Because that is morning, not night.
F: You huge dingus.
SO what I REALLY need is the "Early Bird" law in effect. I will have to gather up some money and reverse the polarity of the Ordinance Flow. Well, let's worry about that once the game is loaded.
Spotlight Isabelle loads up my game and informs me of the "sad news". Klaus, one of the town residents, is leaving tomorrow. "It's a little sad, isn't it?" she says, and I feel almost bad for breaking into a huge grin. But not really! I should go say goodbye. I really hope he doesn't try to get me to talk him out of it.
My in-game Mom also sends me a gift since my house is expanded (huh, news travels slow), that of a Modern Wardrobe. To my slight dismay, all wardrobes now lead to the same storage space, so I GUESS those are the only storage tabs I'm getting ever. Oh lord I'm hoping that space expands somehow. Anyway... I'm not sure I need two wardrobes. Maybe I'll give the old yellow one to Curt as a birthday present?

I'll figure out something, to be sure. If I didn't LIKE Curt I'd try to pawn my Leonardo Dojinshi Fauxa Lisa off on him.
(Because it is fake. And dojinshi is fan-art. ... Please laugh at that. I thought of it seven hours ago and wrote it down for this update.)
Oh well. Out to water the plants and st-- hey, someone posted something on the board! Let's have a look.

If by "everyone's generosity" you mean "me busting my ass running bugs in from international waters", then yes everyone's generosity did pay for that bridge. I guess I ought to get that thing officially opened, but I'll do that once I've poured liquid over every flower in town. ... Oooh, new bug.

While I'm watering things, Bertha catches up with me. She asks me to rate how I'm doing on a scale of "Great" to "Blah", with a little slider. I set the slider to roughly medium-blah and she informs me that there's a magazine quiz she's been reading that might cheer me up. Do I wanna try it?

Okay. Uh.
"What kind of weather do you like?" (Sunny, Cloudy, Windy, Stormy) is question one. I think about it a bit, then admit that I'm rather fond of "Windy" weather.
"Which of the following topics concerns you the most?" (Curt's hair, Pompom's clothes, Mallary's jokes, or Ozzie's future)
... Oh my god how do I even answer that. Eventually I settle on "Ozzie's future", since I so rarely see him and I'm afraid he might move out.
Finally, "How would you describe Curt?" (Nice, Funny, Friendly, Kind of Creepy) ... Bertha this is a REALLY FRICKING SPECIFIC MAGAZINE QUIZ. I'm just saying. As it happens I really like Curt, so I go with "Friendly". Bertha tabulates the results and delivers the verdict.

She brightly admits she's never heard of that book, and walks away. I'm left standing there like...

... So that's a thing that happened. Uh. Anyway, today's fossils are an archaeopteryx (what a mouthful!) and a shark tooth (what a mouthful! ... hee, sorry) and an anklyo tail (not a mouthful). Stalk market price for the day: 82 bells. Pass.
Oh well. Before I do any official acts, I stop by the Able Sisters and get all fancied up. Today's outfit is the "Lace Cake" dress style, by valued reader
hat_of_nikitich. I am happy enough with how this one looks to use it in my Official Town ID photo! Sadly I can't show that one off... but here, have a look!

So that's pretty awesome. Now that I'm dressed to my best and ready to impress I hike down to town hall. Isabelle is deep asleep, and flails when I wake her up...

Where is the ordinance that sends the fluffy adorable puppy on vacation days? Anyway, she tells me about how we had a visitor who wanted a Dream Suite open.
Now, I know what this does because I watched the promo videos: The Dream Suite lets you visit other towns in your dreams, so you can go to places in Japan where they've had the game for a year and cry over how much more awesome their towns are. Since it's a dream, you can't ruin anything, which is a constant worry for me and my major hangup over multiplayer.
It also costs a metric arseload. I may wait a bit before funding that. Anyway, it's time for the bridge-opening celebration! Do I want to attend? Sure I do!

Isabelle, seriously, some brands of decaffinated coffee are now almost as good as the real thing.
Anyway... PARTY!

I say a few words about looking forward to the next project, do a sentai pose for no reason, and then Isabelle uses the power of the Iris-In Iris-Out to teleport back to town hall. Hey speaking of parties let's find Klaus!

Goodbye you wacky freaking German hipster bear. Whatever pastures you move on to, may they be greener and more tolerate of indie musicians. As I'm walking out, Curt invites me to come hang out at his place, so I chill with my best bear pal and we watch weird cartoons and samurai dramas. He even asks me if I want anything from his place.

CURT: Has a birthday coming. Tries to give me presents. SERIOUSLY, best bear ever.
Anyway, that's all for now. Later today I plan to hit the island and do some fishing, since I still have that house-loan, I want to enact a new ordinance and of course I need more public works projects. A mayor's work? Never really done.
