Again I woke up today. This is getting to be some kind of habit. Speaking of habits though, Animal Crossing.

Last night I did a bunch of fishing, and some new fish got scooped up. Let's have a quick montage of those.

Mysterious Spotlight Isabelle reminds me today that Ex-Mayor Tortimer is looking for me down by the docks. Looks like the game REALLY WANTS me to go see the Island. Distant islands with rare fruit on them, huh... Mostly that reminds me I need to re-read the Series of Unfortune Events books once the BF is finished with 'em. When I find time.

Anyway, first I do my daily stuff. A walk of the town to water the flowers and look for fossils, as well as chat with passing villagers. Pompom nearly bulls into me, noting that she wants some interior decorating ideas. In other wor--

Pompom, who's narrating this blog entry, me or you? We make an appointment for her to stop by at 5 PM, because I plan to be busy until at least then. Instantly after that, Klaus grabs me and makes an appointment for 4:30 for me to stop by HIS house. Oh man I am booked freaking solid today. Bertha wonders if she should stop saying "Bloop" all the time. I tell her being bloopy is awesome.

Some of my favorite people are pretty bloopy.

Today's new fossils: A tricera torso and an ichthyo torso. We're getting closer and closer to actually completing one.

The daily fortune cookie actually makes sense and gives good advice, today.

This nets me a Red Pikmin hat, which frankly makes me look like a novelty condom.

Then I stop by the Able Sist-- Wait, what's happening here?

Looks like something's moving in. That oughta be interesting, I wonder what it is? ... Well, we'll find out!

Anyway, at the Able Sisters, I briefly try on a Geisha Wig, but elect not to buy it. It's a little too... traditionalist for me.

Yeah no, I'm not buyin' that. There's also something called a tsunokakushi for sale. I am... absolutely not buying THAT either. Oh, Japan.

Sable, meanwhile, has noticed I've made a point of chatting to her every time I'm in the shop.

She wishes she had... even an extra pair of hands, so we could make a cup of tea and chat instead of her having to run the machine. This sparks off a brief sisterly argument, where Mabel points out that she wished that even before Labelle came back to the fold. The three sisters promised to work as hard as they could, and Sable agrees, going back to sewing with a smile.

This is going interesting places, and I intend to keep prodding this storyline as it unfolds.

I also grab myself a cute but basic skirt while I'm here. Mabel is a little surprised, but declares it "adventurous" and waves as I leave.

I also drop in Nook, who gives me the bill rundown, then introduces me to Lyle. Lyle is a scruffy, overworked real-estate weasel who runs the local branch of Happy Room. Lots of interior ratings await me. I can... hardly wait? Ergh.

He gives me some advice, which is that putting red items to the east wall of my house will bring luck. Sounds like superstitious insanity to me, which naturally means it will be true in this weird little offshoot of reality.

Finally, while I have a spare hour, I trot down to the docks and meet up with Tortimer.

Sigh. OLD PEOPLE, AM I RIGHT? Anyway, he reveals that now that he's told me all about his tropical island paradise, where there's no winter and people from all over the world visit and rare fruit grows, he'll tell the captain to start taking me there. Starting tomorrow. Well crap. Okay! It looks like I have more time to kill than I thought. So it's off to run basic errands for villagers, putz around town, fish, kick some cash to Lloid, etc.

There are gifts, and I put them on or put them in my room or in storage. Nothing too noteworthy.

So I'm hanging out fishing, and suddenly...

Oh my god. This goes straight to the museum.

What the balls was your childhood like, Blathers? Seriously.

At this point it's time to go hang out with Klaus. You may remember he was in a band but quit when it got too mainstream. He also goes on for a while about how he only listens to bands nobody's heard of and 8-bit chiptunes because they have such a profound glory. Now he wants to start another band, it seems.

I decide to carefully slip out the door when the uncomfortable personal revelations start leaking out.

I'm sorry, Klaus, I... I just don't want to know all about how you sleep. Uh. See you later! Haha! Just leaving now!

I have got to get Klaus out of this town. I swear to god.

Anyway, while I'm waiting, Teddy asks me to deliver something to Bertha.

What a long trip.

Eventually I get home, and Pompom rolls in.

I'm a little worried that "carnivorous plant and telephone box" says "Me"... but she enthuses over my bed, my closet, and my trophy before leaving again. So... I guess that's cool!

In any event, I've got some stuff to do today, so I expect that tomorrow I'll... hm. I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow! See what happens.

You need to commission a strip on Blathers' childhood, no question about it. =:D

Nope, I'm really not sure about that Pikmin hat either. Time to choose a villager to send it to. ^_^;
