Full of THINGS.
Oct. 28th, 2004 05:23 amFor starters...
...EDIT here. I interrupt myself. More important than my drooling is
llyander, who is having a birthday today. Go heap well-wishings upon the birdie. GO! HEAP!
Ahem. I continue where I left off.
Guilty Gear Isuka preview is up. Not really happy with this one. It feels too terse, like I didn't really relax and say what was on my mind. I'm not sure what I could've changed, though. I struggled with it for a couple of days. Need to work past that mental block sort of thing, I guess. Still, if I can make this stay solidly as the worst thing I've written for the site, I figure I'm probably okay. Maybe.
There's also a 'Secret of the Silver Earring' review going up. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe in the sub-tomorrow area. I don't know.
Just tonight I decided what I really needed, after watching Animalympics on a rental from the local video shop, was some Fraggle Rock. Animalympics was renewing and refreshing in an oddly spiritual sense, which sounds like an odd thing to say about a sports-based furry cartoon, but it felt that way to me. Maybe it's the whole age regression thing. Making me feel cozily young again is always a good plan as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway, just yesterday someone put up a bittorent of Fraggle Rock episodes. So I'm yoinking those. Clearly the universe has forseen and provided for my needs before I knew I'd have them, thus dubbing me center of all the world once more. Ego moment.
...It's over now. Okay.
Finally considering doing more with my LJ icon space. Cropped a new Katamari Damacy icon, which I am fond of. Now I just need to find a decent closeup of SHODAN's eyes for that "What Would SHODAN Do?" icon I've been wanting to string together. Oh, and an image editing program. I'll come up with something.
...want Animalympics soundtrack in non-tinny version with actual complete endings. Sigh. Damned evil MP3s from anonymous donator.
I'm having to forcefully supress National Crappy Acronym Month ideas. I do not want to try to write a novel in a month, not again. Last time it didn't work, this time my plot concepts are even less coherent than last time. Train of thought writing doesn't work either. Writing a novel in which the main characrter becomes a jelly doughnut and drifts into space under his own power only to be converted into a rubberized version of himself and used as a tire for the Great Metaphorical War Van of the Centipede People of Planet Illudium-Q36 is -not- likely to be a work of surrealist genius so much as it would be me dribbling on the paper and then rubbing my own nose in it FOREVER and more than likely I should set myself on fire and fling myself out the window next to me for even considering it.
Uh. Okay, I haven't done an Eternally-Pepetuating Livejournal-based Friend Thingie in months and months, so I'm gonna redo that "Hit randomize on Winamp and post the first 20 songs no matter what they are" thing because that always fills me with helium-like delight. Remember, if you want me to do a cruddy quiz or poll, just post it here and I'll give my results in a way that will thrill and delight millions of onlookers, if you can get them to look at something else instead of this journal.

...And I dunno about best arrangement of Time Warp, but it's certainly dang catchy. *bounce*

Date: 2004-10-28 11:47 am (UTC)It's a Guitar Vader track, kind of bouncy and very repetative, but pretty darned good IMO.

Date: 2004-10-28 10:40 am (UTC)...oddly enough, isn't it one of the best vocal arrangements of the song ever recorded?

Date: 2004-10-28 11:50 am (UTC)Ahem. Sorry about that. Now then, if you have anything you want chopped down into an avatar, lemme know Fuzzy. I enjoy making avatars. :)
And later on, perhaps you can fling some Moxy Fruvous at me? I've been meaning to check them out.
