Incoming DOOOOOM

So I'm sitting around, being adorably derpish as is my wont.

IM window from a friend pops up: "Hey, are you gonna be okay in the hurricane?"
Uhm. "What hurricane?" I reply.
Pause. "THE HURRICANE COMING FOR YOU."

At this point I am kinda like "Uhm. Oh crap. At me -personally-? Have I pissed off any weather gods lately? This is not my fault!"

Apparently there is a hurricane approaching the east coast, which I was not aware of. I'd like to thank you folks, as often you are my only contact with the frightening world "outside". Anyway, we here at Woof&Sqrl Plaza are comfortably inland, away from the coastline, so we are unlikely to vanish underwater or be blown into other states. Additionally, we went off shopping today and have a good supply of nonperishable foodlike items. However, we ARE in the area that's a huge risk for power outages.

If we vanish off-grid this weekend or just post-weekend, don't worry. We're 99% sure to be okay, and I'll do my best to keep updating and available. I realize the thought of losing my inane bloggery HAUNTS THE DREAMS of everyone I know and all* and I want to be sure you folk know I'll be all right.

*I don't think this actually happens.

You're not missing much, Insanely enough, the "Outside World" still orbits a ball of deadly fire. I interact with it only by force.

Good luck, sqrl, and take comfort in the fact that (I assume, because I am frequently assured that global warming is a hoax) that local authorities will be well prepared for immediate disaster response, since the Boston area is so often hit by autumnal hurricanes.

Local Authorities are mostly glaring at the local power companies and going "YOU GUYS ARE READY, RIGHT? I'M SURE YOU ARE."
