The Hat Project - Hiatus.
Aug. 24th, 2012 03:00 amWell, it's been a magical 31 days, folks. Two Nancy Drew games, Rise of the Argonauts, a bunch of smaller games... we've cleared a little bit of my backlog away. Unfortunately, I'm going to put the Hat Project back on the rack for a little bit, due to a few pressing reasons:
1. Guild Wars 2 soft-launches (for pre-order customers like me) roughly 24 hours from when I'm typing this. When that thing hits I am NOT going to want to touch anything that isn't Guild Warsy. Meanwhile, while I'm recovering from that...
2. Borderlands 2 hits September 18th. Now, I don't intend to load it up and seriously play it myself until about a month later when the Mechromancer (her name is Gauge!) DLC pack comes out, but I also don't want to pretend I'm not at least gonna load it up and make a few scouting runs, particularly since there's a loot storage bank and some form of progression that carries over between characters.
3. Also... Pokemon Black/White 2 launches in October. I didn't remember this until recently, but I -do- have a standing promise to a dear friend of mine that I'll finish Pokemon Black before the launch of the sequel. With that deadline coming up and the Keldeo legendary giveaway coming up soon, I'm going to pull that game back out and get back to work on it. (Haha! I have NO IDEA what I was doing or how to play the pokemons. Oh god I'm gonna suck.)
I'd like to thank you all for your support and for being inexplicably amused by me playing adventure games designed for teenage girls.
You know what, though? I can't keep my hat on, OR my mouth shut. This blog isn't gonna die. I'll probably be talking about all of those games and other ones too. And sometime in... mmh, call it late September or late October, this random-game-draw project WILL rise again. If nothing else I owe people playthroughs of the games they've gifted me!
(...actually... uh... with about 8 games finished and several more incoming... I haven't really decreased my backlog at ALL, have I? I have done exactly the opposite. Man, I am BAD at this.)
