VVVVVV Complete
Aug. 15th, 2012 08:48 amGame: VVVVVV
Played Before Now: Yes
Time played: 3 hours 36 minutes
Finished? Yes
100%? HAHAHAHAHA no
Will I Go Back? Maybe to do some player-created levels
How Much is it Right Now? $5
Did I pay that? I think so
Recommended? Absolutely, if you like pain.

(I missed grabbing a screen of the ending stat summary, so I loaded the complete save up and grabbed the mini-summary.)
I love VVVVVV. I love its blocky, EGA-esqe aesthetic. I love the music, because it has BOTH kinds of music, bleepy AND bloopy. I love the uncomplicated gameplay, which consists of one button to flip gravity plus the left and right arrow keys.
Mostly I love that this game is uncompromisingly hard as fuck and can be made harder if you're a masochist. Like I am.
There's not a lot to say about VVVVVV except that I really envy the plot. Six color-coded scientists who are also in a [spoiler], falling into a collapsing alternate dimension and adventuring their way out? Awesome.
There's a lot of user made levels out there. I could keep working on them for my entire life, and it would sharpen my gaming skills and make me a faster better hunter and all that sort of thing, but it's time to move along. Hell, I didn't even get all the Trinkets in this playthrough. Likely never will. I'm a masochist, but some things are just better left undone.
What's next?

Next we roll the clock back to 2000AD and get involved in a little Genetic Warfare.
See you next time.

I think anyone doing a Halo Jones game would run into certain ISSUES. Namely, "Halo" evokes a certain -something- to modern gamers that, ah, would not quite mesh with that setting/character.
