So before I got caught up in ENORMOUS WEBS of game-related frippery, I had a journal here, didn't I? Yes! Rather. So what have I been up to lately? Exactly -nothing-. For various reasons, actually, all of which end up sounding like "Goodness, but it's too hot to think." I keep wanting to do things, y'see, but my brain goes "Mmhmm. Yes I like your plan there, HOWEVER and this is a valid option we could INSTEAD fall asleep." and then all of a sudden I'm waking up and going "What? WHYYYYY."

Although that's interesting too. The local apartment fellows are renovating the lot next door, which is mostly a giant slab of concrete from the building that burned down before we started living here. ("What's that thing with the fence around it?" "Oh, you don't have to worry about that. It caught fire. So, moving in?") This means that there's a lot of jackhammer work going on, the distinctive POP of explosives, and ... so on and so on.

This has a profound impact on one's dreams, when one sleeps during the day to escape the heat! I keep waking up going "...but WHY is that superhero drilling pits every ten feet apart with their jackhammer fists? Oh. Wait." or "No! All we need to repair the exploding airship is FIFTY POUNDS OF HAM! Wait I am now awake by accident and that sounds insane."

Ahahaha. I'm not insane.

YES well. Aside from the oppressive brain-murdering sleep-forcing HEAT I've been under, things have been uncommentworthy. That sounds dull but I've been largely okay with it. For some reason, possibly the renewed focus on writing, I've been downright MANIC lately and that's a sharp relief when I spend so much time depressed or moping. I would rather have cackling bounds of energy and nothing to do with it than have SO MANY IDEAS and yet just sort of blandy about in a loose pile of flop. Things are good, just... quiet.

And I'm okay with that!

You know, if The Ophelia can stop exploding because it fell into the ocean, then I see no reason why the proper application of ham couldn't stop an airship from exploding either.

If nothing else, I'd blame Mythbusters for why you *can* sleep through the sounds of explosions and construction work. I know I end up dozing off in the middle half the time when i try watching it before bed...

This seems like appropriate crockery for the situation.
