Everyone I know is really depressed lately, and so am I. So, uh... here. For people who like food, have a cooking show. It is on Youtube.

Cooking With Dog.

It is about a tiny Japanese woman who makes food while her French poodle narrates. The poodle has an ooooutragous accent. The Japanese woman is subtitled and very good with a knife.

It's a good show to just kinda chill out to.

I'm also very fond of Heavy Metal Vegan Cooking With the Satanic Chef, but he's not quite so broad in appeal. Also I think he last updated two months ago. I hope he's still out there, headbanging and whipping up veggie delights.

These are wonderful. Husband also recently discovered My Drunk Kitchen, which is a pretty good source of giggles.

You know how sometimes you wonder why you're friends with someone, especially if you haven't seen them in a really long time?

I have never wondered that with you.

Weird cooking videos make me very happy.

Okay, so, five minutes in I think I have it figured out: The dog's accent sounds like an Asian person trying to adopt a French accent.

This is really awesome. Cooking with a poodle is exactly what I needed.

I am now introducing all my friends to these videos.

They are the best. Thank you!

I *really* miss the Cajun Chef (A little wine for the dish..*splash*..a little wine for the chef *glug glug glug*), the Frugal Gourmet (in particular the one he did with Elmo..you could tell that by the end of the episode, he wanted to beat the puppeteer senseless with cookware), and Wok With Yan (and the phrase my family always remembers, 'Have mo' people? Add mo' wata!')

Of course, I'm also reminded of *this* article I just got linked to over by the girlgenius_lab blog... http://news.yahoo.com/swedish-man-caught-trying-split-atoms-home-153341057.html
