xyzzysqrlOne of my parents just got in touch with me. Apparently, as the local rumor mill filtered around to them, one of my old childhood friends recently came out as gay.
He was the one person in Maryland I felt comfortable coming out to myself. He was the one who helped me get the fuck out of Maryland. And apparently he mentioned me when he was doing it, said it was me who made him think it might be okay to say something.
... Man, one thing I never expected to be for -anybody- is an inspiration. I wish him luck, wherever he is.
