In news which ISN'T about me having a whiny semi-public sulkfest here on Livejournal, I have a Twitter account now.

I thought about it for a while and decided that there were a few reasons I didn't have one.

1. They were "new and trendy". This seems false now, since they launched in like 2006.
2. I don't like them. Eh. I still don't, much, but...
3. I didn't know anyone on them. This also seems false now.

Anyway, the whole thing still seems newfangled to me, but I decided to try it out. I will never post those big annoying "here's what I tweeted today!" messages though. They suck.

My Twitter is basically going to be an archive of my IM status updates. Those of you who follow/contact me via IM know that I am constantly updating with custom status messages based on whatever I'm playing, doing, thinking, etc. I figure Twitter's as good a place to dump those as any.

One thing I am VERY firm on, though, is that Twitter will be a place where nothing important ever happens. If something besides natter and derpage comes up, I will make a post about it here. (It will ALSO be unimportant over here, but it will be DOCUMENTEDLY UNIMPORTANT.)

Yeah, the character limit on Twitter posts does make it rather difficult to post anything too earth-shakingly exciting aside from web URLs!

I am surprisingly fond of Twitter. It lets me collect interesting people who say ridiculous things! Anyway, I post absolutely nothing of value there as @a_hat if you'd like to herp and derp at each other.
