Musical math.
Jul. 23rd, 2004 06:40 amSo I'm listening to my MASSIVE UNORGANIZED MP3 COLLECTION OF DOOM and it hits this DDR song I think I got from
swordianmaster called Synchronized Love. I think it's about sex. The lyrics are over here, anyway.
Anyway, there's this one part in the song, which until about three minutes ago I did not know the lyrics to and turns out to be only somewhat sexual, where the lead singer sings in a very earnest, straightforward voice the lyric "One and one is two!". This was about all I could make out in the song, because it rises above the volume level that my mind determines to be "background" level nicely.
I was highly amused by this line right up until it got stuck in my head. Just that one line, from the entire song. This happened a few days ago.
"One and one is two!" my brain reminded me, while I was showering.
"What's my password for this site again?" I'd ask myself. "One and one is two!" would come the answer.
"I should sleep now." I'd think, in bed. I'd roll over and close my eyes and "One and one is two! One and one is TWO! One and ONE is TWO!" my brain would happily jabber to itself.
Finally I sat up and said rather loudly "All RIGHT. One and one is TWO. WHAT NEXT?"
My brain was silent. That was yesterday.
Today it happened again, except as I was staring idly into space waiting for my City of Heroes character to heal up, my brain started singing "Two and two is four!" over and over in the same tone of voice.
Screw you, brain. I'm gonna stab you with a Q-tip.
