So you folks saw and replied to the music video in the last entry. I went hunting and dug up some more information on it.

Zladiko "Zlad" Vladcik is from the tiny yet culturally rich East European republic of Molvania. He is 23 years old, and unfortunately, what we saw was part of an attempt to 'make it', so to speak, in the Eurovision song contest. Unfortunately, he was stopped, searched, and deported in Turkey. Apperently customs agents found evidence of illegal drugs.

I for one am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, to learn that drugs had some part in this stirring technorockpop space ballad of love and pink haired robotic backup singers. I... snrk... hee... *pfffhht*

Okay, I can't keep it up. THIS page tells the whole truth, at least that part of the truth which is made up entirely of lies, and apperently this is a bit from some humorous travel guide called "Molvania - A Land Untouched By Modern Dentistry". I wholeheartedly support this book, and you UK based people can already go and pick up a copy and tell me how it is.

I found this out about an hour ago and have been reading through their site. It looks like a sort of Onion of travel guides. I respect that. Also there's a downloadable MP3 of Zlad's stirring... whatever the hell that thing was.

I'm a little upset that I'll never hear Zlad's Hit Single "Juust Az I Amm", though, because it does not technically exist. I'm sure it's even worse. Alas, the things that are not are sometimes realer than the things that are. Or some crap.

I wonder it that site is like The Onion (That is, making stuff up wholesale to be funny), or like The Daily Show (which leaves the facts mostly in place, but just puts humorous spins on them). Did he really include his dealer in his apology? O.o

*hmmms and ponders the statement "I now want to kick Asuka in the head until Zlad Vladcik's moustache falls off."*

I can't tell if that works better or worse...

I must truly thank you for this blessed little nugget of pure distilled WTF. It is as terrifying as it is wondrous.

You no need put money in my pocket.

I am forever in your debt for tracking down the source, sir. (It has an MPEG encode of the video; I have had quite enough of Flash for the next ten lifetimes.)

It's made by a comedy group who apparently are popular in their home country... of Australia: Working Dog (http://www.workingdog.com.au/).

Oh, and I also sleuthed around the site a bit and found a higher-quality MPEG-audio track. Since the site is soooo sloooow, I've taken the liberty of mirroring the track (http://www.squeep.com/~steve/Elektronik_Supersonikold.mp3).

If the computers at work could have working sound, I'd set this on loop in the lunch room and laugh. (No mixers installed on this one.)

Heheheheheh...
