xyzzysqrl: A moogle sqrlhead! (Nostalgia and Rodents)
I used to do this when I was younger and I'd be playing video games: I'd stop and sit and write down what happened and how I felt about what happened. That wasn't hard when it was an NES game. "Princess not in this castle either. Wish to punt-kick small mushroom people into lava. Mario looks bored now." It got harder with the SNES. "Opera scene left me emotionally drained, but filled with new hope and resolve. Timed sequence bracketing it made me see spots, taste aluminum foil. Why is annoying green haired boy even IN this game?"

Over time, I stopped doing it. Over time, I've also developed a really short attention span. So when I play a game nowadays, it's hard not to wander away from it, or slouch around feeling bored with all the choices I have. (A sure sign that I've done something wrong somewhere, but that's another story.) Today I decided to pick it up again. I'm not Video Game Recaps or anything, but hopefully I'll be entertaining.

The game I want to work through is one I think a lot of people would really enjoy, a refreshingly not-too-generic RPG. Something that surprises me because the game it's a sequel to was one of the dullest things I've ever had in my Playstation.

Legaia 2: Duel Saga awaits. I intend to log regular status reports here. Hopefully they'll be fun to read.
