Okay.

So.

Okay.

The BBC America feed is now running something called "Being Human", it is about a ghost and a vampire and a werewolf living in suburbia London or something I think? Britain somewhere. (That's one big city, yes?)

It... is angsty, yes, but also cute and weird. I caught episode one tonight.

Partway through, the werewolf (George) is ranting at the vampire (Mitchell) about how they just have to have a PERFECTLY NORMAL life and oh god things keep going STRANGE and they have to pull TOGETHER and get through this and not separate because they will have a NORMAL LIFE TOGETHER...

...And partway through I just looked over at the BF and went "My god. They are SUCH a fucking COUPLE."

You know what? I totally understand those fangirls who point at these things and go "It's so -obvious-, isn't it?" now. Because abruptly, out of nowhere, I am SHIPPING THESE TWO SO HARD it is not even FUNNY.

Please, if you've seen more of this show than I have? No spoilers or I will stab you with a werewolf.

And about that time, the four New Yorkers with the brown jumpsuits, the converted hearse, and the unlicensed nuclear accellerators show up... ;-)

You are "shipping" them? I have not heard this term, from the context it sounds like it could mean you're mentally writing slash fiction about the characters, but could you give me a more precise understanding of the term?

Shipping means "Activly supporting the idea of these characters in a relationship". It is often considered to have gay implications, but isn't restricted to gay relationships, and while alot of shippers write fanfiction supporting that ship, that's optional too.

I'm pretty sure the concept for that show used to be a Dave Chappelle sketch. I distinctly remember Charlie Murphy being the Blackenstein.
