Mission Report: Success.

Woof: "This is the way!"
Sqrl: "I had a good feeling."

So... We ate vigorously at Arby's, and it was tasty. (Mostly. My Reuben was curiously flavorless at the edges, less so in the middle. Huh.) And we shopped. The Haul:

Soulcalibur IV - On sale! Used copy $15.

The woof and I browsed through an Amusement Shop and came away with two card games that caught our eye.

His choice was "Whack A Catgirl". As the back of the box logics out, catgirls are cute. Therefore, we should throw things at them. Like books and balls of yawn and possibly other catgirls. Being a woof, he is in favor of this line of logic.

My choice was the cheerfully titled "We Didn't Playtest This At All", which promises to be cheerfully random and insane. I also grabbed the "Chaos Pack", which promises to add More Chaos. Because seriously, if there is anything I will pop additional money for, it is MORE CHAOS.

Both of these games are from Asmadi Games, which I have never heard of but which I will be following avidly. There is apparently a coming sequel, "We Didn't Playthis This Either". I will keep you updated as we play these card games.

Also at the Amusement Shop: Plushies.

Sqrl: "I'm having a hard time pulling away from these plushies."
Woof: "Yes. But... we would easily spend more than anything else we bought today on these, and then we wouldn't be able to get in our beds."
Sqrl: "See, I was thinking... like... "Ooh! This is a fox. It is very soft. I know a very soft fox. Perhaps his birthday is soon." Then I turn around. "Ooh! A pink unicorn! I know a unicorn! Who doesn't mind pink! Perhaps his birthday..."
Woof: "Whereas I just want to horde puppies. Or hoard them. Either way you might spell it."
Sqrl, absently: "Of course, I did not go "Oooh. This is a turtle. And he has fur. I know a turtle with fur."
Woof: "You don't know FluffyTurtle?!"
Sqrl: "YAY FLUFFYTURTLE. FluffyTurtle is my new favorite furry who does not actually exist."

Then, on the way home:

Woof: "Huh. Did you see that sign?"
Sqrl: "What no huh?"
Woof: "Some guy is going to throw a bedsheet up and show movies out in the park. With a band and stuff. Three bucks for movie plus popcorn."
Sqrl: "Huh. No, see, I was distracted trying to figure out if we really just passed a place called The Latex Gym."
Woof: "...I don't... think we did."
Sqrl: "That's probably good. You'd pass out wearing that on a treadmill."

So we live somewhere that is awesome and we have games that are awesome. And we are well fed indeed. Yay life!

Just remember Xyzzy's comment! Latex + slow-burn cardio = ded. For the weightlifting, sure, but not the exercise bikes and treadmills.

I need to get my doctor to prescribe me a day out with you guys. I think that would do worlds of good for my attitude and self-esteem! Just reading your LJ posts makes me laugh and feel better about being alive.
