You may recall that back when I was pretending to be a professional writer, I reviewed Freedom Force VS. The Third Reich and gave it a score of "orgasm/10". This is because I am a complete slobbering nutfarm for comic book heroism.

No one bought that game, and it faded into mist and obscurity, just like the original Freedom Force. Until now.

If you have any love for comic books, pseudo-RTS/RPG games, punching people through buildings, unsubtle 1960s writing, loving Jack Kirby pastiches, and that sort of brickabrack, you should go to Steam RIGHT THE HELL NOW and buy both of these games for seven bucks.

It's X-Men Legends with a brain, a tactical interface and a sense of humor. It's Justice League Heroes with a budget. It's Silent Storm without the turn-based interface (alas) and the grunty military peoples. It's Freedom Force, goddamn it, and the third title in this series is what Irrational 2K Boston Games should be working on instead of Bioshock 2: Shock Harder or whatever they're doing.

If this only had a superhero creator that was more City of Heroes style instead of needing you to be able to render your own models and whatnot, this would be the single best superhero game ever. EVER. And one of the best -games- of any kind. And... I love this game. *sigh*

Bah and a pox on your favorable reviews, when the games are only for WinBlows.

Which, if you think about it, is YOUR FAULT indirectly. Shame on you for not buying every game that sails past your tiny, remote island of the gaming world!
