On one hand, it is 2009, and so I can barely believe that Robot Ninja Haggleman 3 just Ninja-Gaiden-Bird'd my ass to death mid-jump.

On the other hand, the second it happened, I let out a whoop and blurted "OF COURSE IT DID. OF COURSE THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU JUMP OVER COLLAPSING PLATFORMS WITH ENEMIES THAT CAN APPEAR FROM THE SCREEN EDGE HANGING AROUND." and now I have this warm eighties glow.

Best goddamn game on the DS. Seriously. If the sequel doesn't come out here someone will get Thunder Fisted. I don't even know how to do that, but I will LEARN.

The DS has Chrono Trigger available. Thus it is not possible for this game you discuss to be anything other than the SECOND best game for the DS, as Chrono Trigger is the best game EVAR.

... Damn. Not only that, it's the best version of Chrono Trigger. (As long as you have good eyesight.) So, okay. Best action game? Best collection of retro games that don't actually exist? Best 80s callback?

Best idea for a game. It's not enough to be a retro game collection, no - we will make a handful of NEW retro games and include a dorky friend (whose parents compensate for love with money) to watch you play them!

Earthbound...? I dunno. It was GREAT, but really really grindy by the end.

Actually, my FAVORITE RPG is Star Ocean 2, but there's so many things wrong with it I can't even imagine calling it the best anything.

...meanwhile, they're really really GOOD retro games. And I identify strongly with Young Arino. That... says something, m'sure.
