Are there places on the Internet where one can find a reasonable, intelligent discussion, or an annotation guide, or somesuch, to the book House of Leaves? I can't find anywhere offhand on Google, and as part of the Yearly Gift Card Binge I picked up House of Leaves and Coraline, because I NEVER WANT TO SLEEP AGAIN apparently, and spent last night reading, and now I feel the way I did when I read Godel, Escher, Bach: A sort of "Oh WOW okay I need to watch SMART PEOPLE talk about these ideas and concepts and meanings because I CAN'T."

Yes and sometimes. I would like to recommend the Dreamers of Paradice forums (http://www.paradice.net/phpbb/). Half of us are capable of intelligent discussions half of the time, and the other half of us are not. :P

Honest to Glory, I have been meaning to read House of Leaves for like ten years now. I think half the reason I haven't is like yours — I wouldn't know how to talk about it. If I get to it in a timely fashion, though, I'd be happy to go "BUUUUHHHH," at you!

I undertook the scholarly (almost archeaological) task of reading House of Leaves several years ago, but I don't know if I qualify as "smart people."
