STUFF CAME OUT OF MY BRAIN SOMEHOW!
Sep. 30th, 2008 07:04 amYou know who I really envy for no good reason? People with hyphenated last names. It carries a weird sophisticated aura. Like you're too awesome for ONE last name. You need two of them.
Unfortunately, "Wheeler-Butler" or "Butler-Wheeler" sounds like a 1940s robotics experiment gone wrong.
But you know what's gone HORRIBLY right? SACRED 2. It is a pointy clicky Diablo style game. I do not care about the genre, except that it will provide copious loot. But by god, it has helped German Operatic Power Metal reach a PEAK that will never be equaled. If you have ever enjoyed music that sounds like a Dungeons and Dragons sourcebook run through a Markov chain generator, you should watch this trailer.
I have the hots for the cybernetic Anubis and officially call him. He's my character. You can all play the Wood Elf or the Dark Inquisitor or something. Dibs on the hot jackal-guy.

Date: 2008-09-30 05:53 pm (UTC)When my sister got married she and her husband were considering hyphenating their names together or forming a new name out of a combination of their names. Unfortunately, her real-life last name and his real-life last name simply do not work in any credible combination, and you can't do anything with the syllables either. So they gave in to tradition and took his name together.
