Let's see. Somehow my sleep patterns have yet again swung violently around, so I've been asleep by noon each day. Not entirely conductive to... doing anything, really. Been curled up with Project Gutenberg, reading old Tom Swift novels, peering at the differences between various Alice in Wonderland versions, and other acts of reading.

Someone needs to crossmash the "Terribly passive young girl goes on a magical, fantastic journey" archetype story with the "Genius young inventor invents things that get them into deep trouble and then back out of it" archetype story. That may actually be what Foglio's Girl Genius is doing. I haven't read that in ages.

Aside from that, City of Heroes, City of Villains. Tinkering with the Fate/Stay Night finale transcript. Considering what I'll watch afterward. Last Exile seems likely. Then Gurren Lagann will be done soon and... what? Mai-Hime? Macross? I could try Utena... summarizing that would probably break me, though. Also, may or may not drop Death Note. The movie really did everything so much better that it's killed my enthusiasm for the anime itself.

We also need to watch the Netflix list (Hi, Seven Samurai) and send those back for more Netflix stuff. Hmm.

Anyway... That's me, lately. Fairly dull, but ... I'm kind of enjoying not having a lot on my mind.

Last Exile is good.

Utena is ... wierd. But Patalliro! is wierder, and Bobo-Bobobobo will break your mind even faster than Patalliro!, something I didn't think possible until someone showed me some of Bo^6.

Chiming in to say that Last Exile is, indeed, quite good. Getting a grasp on the cosmology/topography of things is sometimes not easy, but a repeat viewing makes it all click into place. I have a friend that keeps stealing my box set for re-watching!

Utena could be fun, though, if you watch it with that intent. It is such an ambiguous show that I think lotsa folks mistake it for mind-breaking. I mean, it has its themes, but they're oft left open to interpretation. Sometimes a balloon is just a balloon!

I need to get ahold of RahXephon sometime, have you ever seen that? It was recommended to me on the basis that I am wild about musical themes.
