Dream log!

Spent the night dreaming of an Ancient Kingdom that had opened its borders to the three neighboring kingdoms for the first time in 1000 years, to see who they wanted to ally with and share their rare goods and so on, and of COURSE two of three of the neighbors started trying to screw them over in various ways, and the only trustworthy one was the "uncivilized barbarian kingdom" who mostly got framed, but demanded they be allowed to stay and root out the real criminal.

Once the original group understood the concept of "pretending to be someone else to screw them over", the representatives of the first two kingdoms were gradually stonewalled and repelled and eventually just speared to the ground and left there while the barbarian group was apologized to and let into the vast awesome secrets of the ancients, woo hoo, and then the borders were closed again to everyone but the third kingdom because this whole alliance thing was really more trouble than it was worth.

This was all very interesting and fantasy-novel-trilogy worthy, yes, but it was not exactly what I wanted in my head while I was trying to get a relaxing night's sleep in. Seriously, brain. Shut up. Trying to zzz.

More writing soon. Gathering resources to take on Momentrabbit's request.

(Also playing Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne.)

Was it you I played a game of Civ II with where we nuked Germany in, like, 1812 due to totally broken tech swapping, and where we also conquered and renamed Barcelona to Barfaroni?

Yes.

I wonder if I can still find my Civ II discs!
