The bonus boss is... kind of antithetical to the rest of the peaceful tranquil combat-free exploration-based Hiiro experience, but that's why it's a bonus boss and not supposed to be part of the actual game. (I mentioned in my review elsewhere that I personally don't think they did quite good enough a job separating the two, but I get what they meant and so it's a relatively minor complaint.) So yeah, that is entirely fair.
