SQRL Model 3882 Bootup Note

Say I'm just waking up. ("You're just waking up.") Thank you.

I've taken to falling asleep listening to the radio, so I'll wake up and try to focus on it. At first I get the sensation of droning, which is hard to describe. Mumbling babble and I can't tell which track is the lyrics and which is the music.

After about a minute, context snaps together and I can suddenly parse words. This happens even if I know that song by heart, I still get a little bit where it could be anything at all mumbling away.

The only thing I can figure is that my audio drivers are low on the bootup chain.

I find memory is a major issue for me. Not only do I find it incredibly hard to remember the first few minutes after I wake up, I find it difficult to remember anything from long term either. This means I spend the first few seconds or so after I wake up feeling incredibly disorientated while I try to figure out where I am, how I got there, and what the heck to do next, until it finally dawns on me that I'm in my own bed, and this really shouldn't be a shock.

Is that just me? I'll accept yes as an answer...

I've had something like that happen on occasion, where for a while after I wake up I'll still be in the mind-set and memories that I had inside the last dream I was in. It's rare, though.
