Just got off the phone with Mom.
Apperently, Dad found a girlfriend and my parents are getting a divorce.
...Well, best of luck to them, I suppose. On one level, this is no surprise at all. The signs have been written out in bold faced letters for years.
Still deeply startling to hear they're going through with it. Hope there's no emotional scarring. I'll have to be in closer touch with them.

Of course, I wasn't keeping close track of your parents' relationship in the first place, so surprise is hardly in order.
Can't say you ever seemed too worried about where they were going, either, tho. They certainly didn't take an active or positive interest in *your* romantic relationship.
