A simple mistake.

So I made the following music mix CD and then took it to bed to have a listen while I drowsed.

Oops.

I will NEVER SLEEP AGAIN. Too much energy. So I'm wide awake again. Going to try to get some writing done for Sqrlgames soon, I have a bunch of Japanese GBA games that I need to screenshot and then figure out where to put the screenshots, because these games need to be SEEN to be believed, and then I need to continue with Chesty's Adventures.

You're a Dolby fan.

You're a Dolby fan!

YES! ANOTHER ONE! SOMEONE ELSE WHO WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN, when I quote things like "Shine across these waves and rescue me" or "...like an iron fist in a glove full of Vaseline."

Dip the fuse in the kerosene. :)

Ah, Gate to the Mind's Eye. Lovely visuals.

All right, here's your assignment. Locate and listen to the follow song tracks:

Europa and the Pirate Twins (his first single, brooding longing wistful Gothy synth piece)

Eastern Bloc (sequel to the above, ten years later, much less brooding)

Dissadents (outstanding good song)

I Scare Myself (a bluesy ballad, MOST unlike him!)

Field Work (preferably with the video)

Radio Silence (preferably the original version with just Dolby on vocals, not the later-released 'Dolby and some girl' version)

If you are in need, I have every one of his albums but one in MP3. I also have the rather fannish distinction of having been his online lover once or twice. MOST interesting man, that one. Currently the head of a music software firm in San Francisco, last I checked. Played a lovely little cold-and-clinical-but-smouldering-underneath-the-laboratory-drag sealpoint nekochan at the time.

wow O.o out of all that, the only one I reconize is They Might Be Giants. But Birdhouse in my soul is a better song IMHO... damn it, now i have that running through my head *pops in one of his CDs*

Oh wow, I recognize.. errr... 3 of those songs. I've become too mainstream for my own good! Does this mean I'll have to give up my membership to the Obscure Artist of the Month Club?
