Mass Effect 2.

So the woof and I went out, did some clothes shopping, and picked up Mass Effect 2. He went off to bed after that, around noonish. I sat down and tried it out.

A while later, he got up again. "You realize it's like 1:30 AM?"

...So, uhm. While there is a -lot-, a huge amount, I miss from Mass Effect 1... I guess I like this.

There are things I missed exceedingly. Thermal clips suck. The mining scanner is ass. Credits become an issue because you can't SELL anything. Sometimes, melee combat is a right bitch and you get nuked without knowing why. And I kind of liked fiddling about with armour.

But what I do like is substantial. Combat is faster, there's more autoaim support, weapons work better (sniper rifles and shotguns are USEFUL now), upgrades are easier to manage, the cover system is greatly improved and there's no "warehouse of boxes where you're going to get flanked and killed", and well, grenade launcher.

It is a worth sequel. *nod sagely*
