Retail therapy

As cranky as I am...

Hell with it. The woof and I have gift-cards from parents for Barnes and Noble. I'm gonna go out and get the most CLICHE SHIT I can find, with dragons and stuff and maybe some stories where humanity shoots a bunch of evil aliens with laser guns AND THERE IS NO MORAL AMBIGUITY WHATSOEVER and I am going to ENJOY IT.

*stomp out*

...report when I get back. (What I buy will probably have nothing to do with this, actually. But I bet if I check the Warhammer 40K rack...)

The books are usually clustered into their own little section with the other game tie-in novels (Dragonlance, Halo, etc.).

I was also kind of boggled recently when, after spending a while trying to find Abnett's Titanicus, I found it on one of the Big Deal novel stands out in the middle of aisle. Like--Anne Rice, Anne McCaffrey, Steph Meyer...and WH40K. I was not aware that the world thirsted so for the fruits of Dan's pen~ ^_^
