I'm kind of the opposite of a Jedi Knight fan, I tend to think big bulky blasters are way cooler than swiffy light swords that go fwoom fwoom. I lean towards the "smugglers, soldiers, bounty hunters and agents" side of the Star Wars universe.
Still, you give me an adventure platformer, I'm not gonna say no. Lots of big open planets to roam around in, lots of purely-cosmetic upgrades to collect or... to realize they're all going to be cosmetic and stop collecting partway through out of apathy.
I feel like Fallen Order tried a bit too hard to be "Soulsy" without really understanding what that actually means. There's no reason to have a risk/reward "lose it if you haven't used it" XP system if it's all skill tree points, instead of granular upgrades, for example...
...but that's far too analytical for a trip to the glowstick festival. This is no Bioware game, it's not gonna have you pondering morality or, like, noticing morality is happening. It's just Cal... somebody. Cal Ripken and his robot Beedeebeedeebeedee (named for the iconic noise made by Twiggy on Buck Rogers) clubbing people to death with a stick made out of light lasers while running up and down every wall on every planet in the galaxy.
Really, who can ask for more?
