Live From The Virtual Future

We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives... and remember, my friends, future events such as these will affect YOU ... in the future.
It won't affect me, however, because I'm already in the future. I'm bringing this post to you direct from the magical world of VIRTUAL REALITY, where I have established a base floating in the vast void of outer space which I refuse to leave ever unless I have to for reasons.
So how is VR working out for me?
Well, the positives are many. I love the sense of space it gives. Even something basic, like operating your Windows desktop while floating in a space void or the like, "feels" better than sitting in my bedroom. It was only a few minutes after I put on the headset for the first time that I realized, "Oh. Hey, yeah. This is worth like $600-$1000 to do right, isn't it?"
That is pretty awesome. Games designed for VR? Magnificent. Wonderful sense of space. Not entirely great with the controls yet, and I can only last 15 minutes to half an hour before I want to yarf, but tolerance builds slowly and steadily. I have no doubt that with practice I'll be zipping around virtual space.
The downsides... mmh. Mostly that my eyes get a bit tired, I can't wear my glasses, and the headset's foam rest leaves blue-ish marks on my forehead.
Still, I am INVIGORATED by this thing. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can stream VR stuff and give everyone I know motion sickness. It feels good to use, even casually.
Thus, Streaming with Sqrlmog's next movie is... uh, slightly delayed. Please look forward to that. But I'm enjoying THE FUTURE right now.
