Recordkeeping: Disco Elysium COMPLETE
Oct. 24th, 2019 04:42 amI finished this during the Pokemon marathon, but didn't want to break stride to make a post.
Disco Elysium is maybe the most INTERESTING RPG I've played in some time, insomuch as it focuses heavily on pure roleplay, in dialog-menu form. It wouldn't be out of place to call this a fusion of a visual novel, point-and-click adventure and Baldur's Gate-style isometric RPG in the form of a detective story where your character has somehow annihilated their identity and needs to be brought up to speed with everything.
This is not a combination I would have personally thought would catch on, but it is apparently one of the best-selling games on Steam at this moment. Good. It deserves it, this game is deep and rich.
