Further game stuff.
Dec. 9th, 2010 05:21 amI still remain unsure on the WoW issue. It is almost shamefully, pathetically easy, and it has less exploration, less wandering, less interest than I imagined. Maybe I should just turn back to EQ2, which is more complex and exploration focused. I do not know.
What I do know is that, in NON-MMO, interesting to actual people news, Eric Chahi is making a new game. This is the maker of Out of this World/Another World I'm talking about, the guy whose last game was Heart of Darkness, the insanely creepy PSX game from several years back. The game is called From Dust, and you can see a tech demo video by clicking this link.
Now to be honest, the final game will probably not be like this. That's what tech demo means. But it puts me in mind of a remake of Populous. Frankly I wish that they'd just... drop this tech demo on an FTP site somewhere and let people play with it.
