Oct. 3rd, 2010 07:10 amSo I won't be playing Uncharted right away after all, in spite of buying it! Apparently there's a weird bug where having PS3 firmware installed at a version higher than that which comes on the disc makes it not able to run, or it tries to install a patch but freaks itself out, or... something.
So that goes back, I suppose, if we can dig out the receipt. Grumble. I guess launch titles just have issues. Supposedly the Game of the Year version does not have this issue, but I DUNNO WHATEVER.
(The pun in the title of this entry doesn't RELATE to anything. Like, it's not because I don't have a LAN or something that the game doesn't work. I just really like that pun, and I hope someone somewhere finds a home for it. Somewhere it can be loved and laughed at.)
[EDIT] Problem solved. Apparently if you reformat, THEN patch, THEN install the game, it works. I dunno. I am just happy it does.
