Updated!

Hello, folks. It's a gorgeous, warm, sunny day. It's comfortably bright outside. And I am at the Maynard public library, using their net access to make a Livejournal update. You see, there was a minor... issue, Comcast-wise. We sort of ran out of bill money.

Not to worry, though! We're all fine here. I've spent the netless days ... well, at first I spent them sulkily flopping about. Lately though I've been engaged in actually doin' stuff, like watching Gormenghast (a BBC miniseries based on a book series which I'm in part here to pick up, about a young man named Steerpike and his incredible ability to murder his way through a supporting cast and still be the only sympathetic character in the entire production) and listening to Dr. Who radio plays.

I've missed the Internets, actually. I'm trying to catch up a bit now. Also trying to find a no-download IM client -besides- Google Chat.

But ... mostly? I've just been relaxing. I'll present further thoughts later, but I wanted to make it clear I'm Not Dead.

More thoughts

I've yet to walk into anywhere, any library or bookstore, and have them actually have all of the books I've been looking for. Possibly what I need to do is find a small store-space and open up a bookstore, or a used bookstore... maybe even a specialty fantasy/sci-fi bookstore.

And then I could find a nice large open window, undo my pants, and pee money of it until I die of dehyrdration! Yes, that also sounds fun!

Ahem. Anyway. I'm back for a bit to blurb into this window for the next 26 minutes or until I leave, whichever is first.

It looks like a LOT of things have been happening, thanks to the fact that my LJ friends list is past 250 entries and won't let me go back any further. This figures. When I can keep up on it day to day... not much. When I vanish inexplicably from the Internets? EXPLOSION OF OUTBURSTING.

Ah well. If something important happened to you, PLEASE tell me about it next I see you. I'll be sure to ask, mind. I worry.

Right now I'm just dealing with the general buildup of crud that gets piled up... email, websites I check daily, news, game news, cartoon news...

Also fun today was going wardriving around with the DS, looking for wireless access points that were open and unprotected. I borrowed a Bank net point to trade Poekymons with, which I think is a federal crime on the same level as sailing out to International waters to burp the ABCs through a megaphone.

Also, if you folk haven't been to a library lately, go see what random crud you can scavenge from it! Ours, for example, has the complete series of Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman sitting down in the video tape rack. I'm not sure WHY.
