So I finally learned to cook with the gas stove. Turns out, instead of turning the dial to "lite" (BLEAH) you turn it to, say, 5 and wait for a few seconds, THEN turn it to "lite" (damn it, spell it right) and pfwoomp. So now I have access to the full run of all the stuff I can cook.
For the record, using this stovetop I can make:
Boiled water.
Ramen.
Mac and cheese. (Kraft Dinner for my friends in exotic far-off lands.)
Grilled cheese.
Grilled cheese and ham.
Grilled peanut butter and jelly. (Note: REALLY BAD IDEA. DON'T DO THIS AGAIN.)
Undercooked hamburger.
Overcooked hamburger.
Fried eggs.
Grilled ham and cheese with fried eggs on top.
Scrambled eggs with Stuff in it.
Lime shrimp. (Prepackaged. Still tasty.)
One day I may learn to cook food that doesn't involve starch of any kind! Oh what a glorious day in cooking that will be!
