Lunch Rush
Sep. 6th, 2004 02:57 pmSo am I the only one who gets tempted to tack "...and EXTRA CARBS." to the end of all my fast food orders? I went out to the local sub place to pick up some food for the loviewolf and I and after eyeing their low-carb menu, I want -additional- carbs. I want a giant carbohydrate BOMB of sugars and starches wadded up and THROWN at me with the purchase of my bready chicken stir-fry sub. Either that, or a bag of chips. Chips are good.
Also while I was waiting at the sub shop, I witnessed a little girl, about four years old, standing up on her bench and singing enthusiasticly "DOOOOOOUBLE CHEEESE! DOOOO-OOO-OOOOOUBLE CHEEEEEESE!" It occured to me that I'm a very relaxed mood, because this didn't bother me. If I could stand up and sing at the top of my lungs about double cheese, I -would-, because it's DOUBLE CHEESE. More cheese than usual! Additional cheesy goodness! She has every right to sing about this matter and I wholeheartedly support her right to do so.
Also, I've taken to getting a Pepsi when I get a drink from that shop. This saddens me and makes me feel like slightly less of a good person... but then, it IS Vanilla Pepsi, so it probably won't count against the weight of the feather when I die.
If it wasn't for City of Heroes, I'd have written more about Legaia 2. With the whole test server thing in place, though, and the Really Cool Update of Actually Making Gangs Not Suck Anymore (Oh And Capes Too, Screw 'em), I've been devoting a lot of time to that. Speaking of things I should be devoting time to, it's a shame that... wait, this deserves a new paragraph.
That sure-thing job I mentioned? Wasn't. They decided to not actually hire anyone. So... back to looking for work. Mrf. Oh well, at least I'll be getting a lot of practice walking. My lower leg muscles still protest loudly and ache, but I figure, hell with them. What have those little bastards ever done for me? Nothing. Support me when I stand up, that's all. Well, I'll show them. Sometime this week the wolf and I will hike down to the local grocery store (about a mile and a half to two miles, not as far as the video shop) and hike back laden with groceries. That should show 'em.
