I like the different levels of reality. The walking-on-molecules-and-retrieving-memories makes me think of Arthur Dent removing his Common Sense Particle.
I did not see that conclusion coming. I guess the characters got what they wanted, more or less. I feel like it's some deep metaphor about spiritual enlightenment. One of them is going to sell vacuum cleaners. That's probably, like, a metaphor of a spiritual vacuum cleaner that sucks away all the negative beliefs that stop us from achieving transcendence.
