I thought the character designs in Wind Waker were stupid and ugly. I saw screenshots for the new Zelda game and I think it looks much, much better.

As for books, did you know Clive Barker wrote a children's book? It's called "The Theif of Always" and I read it a few years back on vacation. Its pretty good. Otherwise... well... In high school, the pace I read at could probably be described as "Voracious", but before that, I didn't read much.
